We're currently seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our growing team at r2p in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the day-to-day accounting operations in Malaysia, working under supervision to ensure accurate and timely financial records, reconciliations, payments, reporting and statutory compliance.

This is how You Make a Difference
- Process supplier invoices, staff advances and supplier payments, including supplier statement reconciliations and maintenance of supporting records.
- Prepare customer invoices, update customer payments, reconcile customer statements and follow up outstanding balances with the Project Team.
- Perform bank reconciliations, prepare monthly journals, AP/ AR ageing and account reconciliations, and maintain intercompany and month-end files.
- Assist in updating weekly cash flow actuals and bi-weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities, and assist with statutory reporting and internal/external audits.
- Support year-end closing, month-end closing and HQ reporting.
- Submit and cross-check e-lnvoices, monitor supplier e-lnvoices and submit self-billed e-lnvoices for staff claims.
- Maintain and update fixed asset and stock listings, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting and statutory records.
- Work closely with the Finance and Project Teams and relevant external parties.
- Perform other finance-related duties assigned by management.
- Ensure that the relevant Quality Management System processes are followed.

What you Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on accounting and finance experience ideally within SME and project-drive environment.
- A thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, preferably of Malaysian GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience with the usage of bookkeeping and reporting software, and ERP systems.
- CA/CPA/ACCA studies are an advantage.
